Kung Fu Kids

Your child will receive 4 classes per month when possible.  This means if there happens to be 5 of your class days in a given month, there will not be a class held on that last day of the month.  Those days are reserved for your instructors make up classes or for instructor training and development.

Kung Fu Kids will typically recognize the same holidays that your school recognizes.  This means that if your school is open, an instructor will be there!  Kung Fu Kids will take time off between Christmas Eve through New Years Day.  There will not be make up classes for Holidays, but your child will be taught any missed information before testing.

If your instructor misses class due to illness or emergency, a make up class will be held.   Typically Kung Fu Kids will inform the staff at your child’s school and attempt to put a notice in the lobby area with the make up class time.

When your child follows directions and puts forth a positive effort in kung fu class s/he will receive a merit.  If your child saves 10 merits s/he can trade them in for a gold star patch, showing that they are a "Star Student."  There is no limit to how many star patches your child can earn.

School age participants receive only a kung fu top.  This allows them to keep the uniform in their backpack and quickly get ready for kung fu class.  Please ensure your child wears comfortable pants and tennis shoes on kung fu days.  (no skirts on kung fu days either please)  If your child earns a star it will go on the collar of the kung fu top on the left side, closest to the opening.  Stars beyond the first will go ½ inch apart around the collar.

Pre-K participants  receive a Lil’ Dragons uniform.  These can be worn over the child’s clothes for the duration of kung fu class.  If your child earns a star it will go on the center of the purple collar where the Velcro attaches.  Future stars will go ½ inch apart up and around the collar.
